In 2006, Lisa moved back to her hometown of Omaha, NE and started Turner Events and Marketing to provide Omaha with a new event and marketing resource. Lisa has produced several events in Omaha with attendees of over 1,500 people.

Lisa started an event and marketing consulting company in Indianapolis in 2004. She supported the fundraising, branding, outreach, sponsorship and marketing efforts of Special Olympics Indiana, Coach John Wooden and Family Development Services.

Having served seven years on staff at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Lisa worked with fortune 500 companies such as CBS, Kraft Foods, American Express, Monster and Coca-Cola. Lisa spearheaded the inaugural NCAA Hoop City event at both the Men’s and Women’s Final Four, produced the NCAA Woman of the Year awards dinner and coordinated opening ceremonies for several NCAA championship events and the NCAA Convention.

Lisa graduated from Millard North High School and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
